amfori BEPI
amfori BEPI
Depending on the risk results of your business partners, you will be able to assign improvement activities to either mitigate or prevent risks. The portfolio of improvement activities for BEPI includes:
- Capacity building (through the amfori Academy).
- The environmental monitoring (on-site monitoring activity with corrective action plan for continuous improvement).
- Consultancy (topical on-site activity with a local expert).
- The module of Chemical Management in Fashion (in partnership with ZDHC).
Risk scores are calculated based on the site’s management practices within each performance area. These scores help identify areas where there may be room for improvement. A high or very high risk score suggests that current practices may not be sufficient to prevent environmental impacts.
This tool is designed to support both you and your business partners in identifying priority areas for improvement and focusing efforts where they are most needed.
The “Generic” Section: Key metrics and CO₂-equivalent calculations: The “Generic” section is not rated. Instead, it collects essential quantitative data and calculates key environmental metrics, including CO₂-equivalent emissions. You can access the reports submitted by your business partners by clicking the icon on the right side of the screen.
Automatic CO₂-Equivalent calculations: When business partners enter their energy consumption data, the platform automatically calculates energy-related CO₂-equivalent emissions. These results are displayed in the “Generic” report, including a summary table at the bottom.Example: For a plastic products manufacturer reporting production in kilograms (kg), the summary table may include:
- Water intensity: Liters of water used per kg of product
- Energy intensity: kWh used per kg of product
- Waste intensity: kg of waste generated per kg of product CO₂-equivalent (GHG) intensity: kg of CO₂-eq emitted per kg of product
- These metrics are shown for up to three reporting years, allowing for trend analysis over time.
Reporting requirements and additional Information: Business partners are required to report data for at least one year in the Generic questionnaire. They may optionally report data for up to three years to track historical performance. If only one year is reported, only “Year 1” will contain data. Additionally, the screen includes a summary table of self-declared environmental incidents, grievances, and legal cases (sourced from EPA 1 – Environmental Management System), along with their current status: Solved, In Progress, or Not Yet Initiated.
