amfori ESG Risk Compass covers 20 indicators across three key areas:

• ​​Environmental indicators:​ air quality, biodiversity, climate change, waste management, wastewater, water stress.
• ​​Social indicators:​ bonded forced labour, child labour, discrimination based on gender, fair remuneration, occupational health and safety (fatal injuries), precarious employment, right to freedom of association, working hours.
• ​​Governance indicators:​ conflict data – disorder events, conflict data – reported civilian fatalities, environmental treaties ratification, human development, human rights treaties ratification, worldwide governance (previously known as ‘Country Risk Classification’).

Not yet. We are currently working on integrating sector data to offer a more granular view of potential ESG risks. The upgrade is expected in Q1 2026.

The dashboard aggregates data from amfori BSCI audits, Zero Tolerance cases, amfori BEPI Risk Assessments, and external sources (e.g., World Bank) to generate a country risk score for each ESG indicator. The Country Risk Classification dashboard is now available via the Worldwide Governance Indicator of amfori ESG Risk Compass. You can access it by clicking on the link provided in the description on top of the dashboard (‘Go to the WGI dashboard’) or by following these steps:

• Look for the “Worldwide Governance Indicator” in the indicator filter at the top of the screen.
• Go to the third table, titled “Governance Indicators”.
• Click on “Worldwide Governance Indicator” in the indicator column to open the detailed overview from the Country Risk Classification.
