Three new auditing companies accredited for amfori QMI

Three new auditing companies accredited for amfori QMI

amfori is pleased to announce that three additional auditing companies, ALGI, APCER and Eurofins, have been accredited to conduct amfori QMI audits.

This expansion increases audit capacity and geographic coverage, making it easier for amfori members to use amfori QMI as part of their quality and responsible sourcing strategies.

In addition to these new countries, amfori QMI is active in several sourcing markets, including China, Vietnam, India and Thailand, where 6 auditing companies are already conducting amfori QMI audits. This existing coverage, combined with the 3 new auditing companies and upcoming auditor trainings, will further strengthen global availability of amfori QMI for our members and their suppliers.

Recent and upcoming amfori QMI auditor trainings

To enable these auditing companies to start operating, dedicated amfori QMI auditor training sessions have been organised by region:

Asia region – English session in March (completed)

  1. New amfori QMI countries: Bangladesh and Indonesia
  2. Additional auditors trained from: Vietnam and India

Upcoming sessions in Asia

Training sessions are planned in April across Asia, including locations in Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, to further strengthen regional coverage.

Europe and Americas – sessions planned in May

Additional auditors to be trained for: Pakistan, Portugal, Türkiye, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Colombia and Bulgaria.

Once trained and approved, these auditors will be available to conduct amfori QMI audits through the amfori Sustainability Platform.

Why use amfori QMI?

amfori QMI (Quality Management Initiative) is a one‑day, on‑site audit that assesses a producer’s quality management capabilities across four key areas: Infrastructure, system and environment, product design, incoming materials control and production control.

It helps our members to:

  1. Reduce duplication and costs by avoiding multiple, overlapping quality audits.
  2. Gain better supply chain visibility, with amfori QMI results integrated into the amfori Sustainability Platform alongside amfori BSCI and amfori BEPI.
  3. Benchmark and monitor suppliers consistently using a common technical quality standard.
  4. Support continuous improvement through clear scoring and follow‑up actions on quality management.

For our members’ suppliers, amfori QMI helps to:

  • Avoid audit fatigue
  • Demonstrate robust quality management to multiple customers
  • Strengthen long‑term business relationships

How can amfori members use amfori QMI?

amfori QMI is a feature of the amfori Sustainability Platform and is available for amfori members to use without any additional fee. This makes amfori QMI a cost‑effective way to integrate technical quality into our members’ monitoring approach.

Members who would like to learn more or plan amfori QMI audits with new auditing companies; Eurofins, ALGI, APCER or other amfori QMI‑accredited auditing companies (Bureau Veritas, Intertek, SGS, QIMA, TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland) are invited to contact the auditing companies directly.
